Jacqui Rock has a wealth of knowledge about the high street, and with a background in project management, marketing, collaboration and as an investment bank manager with JPMorgan, Jacqui’s immediate priority is work with the levy payers to understand their needs and deliver on them.

Wendy brings over 30 years of experience within the tourism, leisure and sports industry. Wendy brings a wealth of knowledge on developing and promoting destinations. With over 10 years working for the Los Angeles Tourist Board, and as part of a small team was instrumental in increasing brand awareness and portfolio of visitors to LA.

Nikki Honer, Head of Marketing and Communications at more bus. I have worked in the bus industry for over 30 years and fully understand that our services are an essential service and lifeline to so many people in the region, connecting them with work, health, education, and leisure.

More bus actively supports the role of the high street and the community around us. We are central to the Poole BID area.

I would love to see Poole thrive in the future and am keen to work with the other BID directors to do our best for BID levy payers.

Kris

KRIS GUMBRELL
FOUNDER AND CEO - BREWHOUSE AND KITCHEN

Kris is the founder and CEO of Brewhouse and Kitchen, the UK’s largest Brewpub operators with 23 venues nationally . Kris is an experienced sector investor, but also has with an extensive background a Director level for Greene King plc. Kris is also a non-executive director of the Cobbs Farm Shop & Dining Group. Brewhouse and Kitchen has twice won the pub sectors “Best Employer” in the last 4 years and in 2022 was voted the UK’s best “Pub Brand.”

 

“I am passionate about Hospitality and Retail, these sectors have had incredible challenges over the last 3 years and are now evolving quickly in a challenging market. I have lived and worked in the area for 17 years, and believe Poole BID has a genuine opportunity to improve the business landscape for levy payers, can leverage the attraction of Poole, it’s history and setting, by pulling together with local business, council and other bodies to “raise the tide and lift all boats”.

Carol has over 30 years’ experience in hospitality, business development and marketing.

“Having spent the last 11 years promoting Poole to the coach & group market I’m excited to be involved to help make Poole the thriving place it should be”.

 

ROSS

ROSS RUTT TRAINEE MANAGER - LUSH RETAIL

Ross Rutt is Trainee Store & Spa Manager at Lush Old High Street, Poole, the first ever Lush shop which opened its door in 1995.

With a background of 10 years’ experience in the retail industry and having moved from Bath recently, Ross is hopeful a fresh set of eyes will help identify areas of retail opportunity in Poole & the local area.

‘My primary commitment shall always be to the levy payers & stakeholders, where I shall ensure each and every voice is heard.; I will work with levy payers and stakeholders to help future proof their businesses through a particular focus on exceptional customer service, customer retention and how to generate new & exciting ideas that draw more people in.’

ROB BROWN
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - BROWN BOOTH LTD

Rob Brown is co-founder and Technical Director of local web design company Brown Booth Ltd situated just off of Poole High Street. Running for 3 years to current date, the company provides web design and digital marketing services to the local business community.

Rob’s background heavily revolves around the IT/Digital sectors and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Along with running local businesses within the Poole BID catchment area, Rob was born and raised in Poole and his family ties with Poole can be traced way back within the history of Poole itself.

“Although I have travelled a lot within my business career, I always managed to end up back in Poole and now, thankfully, I reside and co-run my local business in Poole full time. I am super excited to be able to assist Poole BID in their continued efforts with the local Levy payers

Andy

COUNCILLOR ANDY HADLEY -
WARD COUNCILLOR FOR POOLE TOWN, BCP COUNCIL

Andy is a native of the BCP area, and a longstanding resident of Poole. He spent his career working for the NHS across Dorset on digitising and linking clinical records. Alongside that he has spent a lot of time volunteering on environmental projects, and also sustainable transport solutions across East Dorset. He first stood as a local Ward Councillor in 2011 and is currently the Portfolio-holder for Climate Mitigation, Environment, Energy and Sustainable Transport across BCP.

“I was really pleased to be nominated from BCP Council as a Director on Poole BID. I have a particular interest in seeing the area thrive, but also a passion for the history and variety of activities and the community around the Old Town. I have worked closely with Town centre businesses on Covid recovery, and our events programme. We need to make the most of collaboration in nurturing our fabulous place for residents and visitors, and that will benefit our levy payers.”

BRADLEY

BRADLEY WILLIS MEMBER REPRESENTATIVE - NATIONWIDE

Bradley Willis is currently employed at Nationwide Building society as a member representative, having worked on Poole High Street and the surrounding area for over a year and a half.  Bradley enjoys taking on challenges and additional responsibilities as well as adapting to different situations.

Working closely with members of Poole’s community, Bradley enjoys supporting Poole High Street while striving to work towards a better environment for both businesses and people alike.  He believes that together Poole BID can help develop and boost the local Poole area and its Levy payers.

TANYA

TANYA WAREHAM
STORE MANAGER - SAINSBURY'S, POOLE

Tanya is a customer centric leader with a passion for Diversity and Inclusion too. As an LGBT woman she is proud to be a leader in Sainsbury’s and show others the routes that are open for them.

Tanya joined Sainsbury’s in 1993 and has held a number of different roles during her 20+ years in the business, Last 6 years as a store manager accountable for delivering all commercials that goes with leading a large business.

Tanya is motivated by having people around her and loves the variety and pace of being in a store, on the shop floor, with customers and colleagues. Tanya never stops listening to feedback and learning from others and don’t intend to stop.  She gets a buzz out of making the complicated, simple and therefore relish the opportunity to grow my impact and influence.
