August 2025
Poole’s favourite community celebration is back! The Seafood & Sounds Festival will fill Old Town Poole and The Quay with flavour, music, and family fun on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th September.
Highlights
- Opening Parade (Sat 13th, 11am) – Led by Jamie Jigsaw, the Mayor of Poole, Samba Panashe carnival band, RNLI, Pirates of Poole, and community groups. Everyone’s invited to dress up in seafood-themed fancy dress or bring “fish on sticks” – with prizes for the best creations!
- Six Live Music Stages – Across Poole Museum, The Sea Sculpture, Customs House, Poole Arms, St James’ Church, and The Fish Shambles, plus evening gigs in local venues.
- Artisan Market at Scaplen’s Court – 20+ local makers and producers in the newly renovated historic courtyard.
- Seafood Galore – Fresh fish stalls and dishes from local restaurants along the Quay.
- Family Fun – Oyster Trail treasure hunt with prizes, free workshops at Hotel Du Vin & St James’ Church, meet-and-greet characters, performances by Scaplen’s Community Players, and entertainment from Jamie Jigsaw.
Community & Charity
Organised by five passionate Poole business owners, the festival is for the community, by the community. A Grand Raffle will help fund next year’s event, with 20% of proceeds supporting Forest Holme Hospice.
