After 18 months of service to the board, Georgina Bartlett, Director and Chair of the Poole BID board has resigned. The board member role of a BID is voluntary, and Georgina’s input has been invaluable, bringing significant energy and innovation to help the BID and ensure levy payers get best value.

Georgina has introduced the concept of subgroups to improve focus and delivery, covering a wide number of subject matters including Retail, Public Realm, Safety and Security, Marketing, Finance, as well as being influential in the tender for the new web page platform.

In addition, engagement with and accountability to levy payers was business critical for Georgina, to which she introduced the Annual General Meeting and quarterly “Meet the Board” evening events to allow access to all levy payers to engage directly with the board and discuss the challenges and opportunities of operating within Poole Town Centre.

On her departure Georgina commented, ‘I am proud of what has been achieved by the BID team in the last 18 months and it is in a stronger position to support the levy payers than when I joined in early 2022. I wish them ongoing success.’

The remaining board members would like to thank Georgina for her hard work, passion and commitment during her term as a non-exec director of Poole BID, her work in the role as Chair, and wish her the very best of luck. In the meantime, Vice Chair Rob Brown of Brown Booth Web Design and Digital Marketing will continue as Interim Chair.
