Poole BID is proud to be the headline sponsor for a beloved line up of events that have long been part of Poole’s identity. In 2025, Car Nights, Bike Nights (formerly Dream Machines), Folk Festival, Mini Steam on the Quay, and Summer Sounds will continue to bring life to Poole Quay, now fully under the leadership of Poole Quay Events CIC.

These much-loved events have been a staple of the town for years, attracting thousands of visitors, supporting local businesses, and keeping Poole Quay at the heart of the community. Last year marked a transition period, as BCP Council formally handed over the reins to Poole Quay Events. Now, in its first full year as a Community Interest Company (CIC), Poole Quay Events is committed to ensuring these traditions continue to thrive with the help of local businesses, volunteers, and community support.

A Flurry of Events Throughout the Summer The 2025 event season will be bookended by the hugely popular Bike Nights, which kicks off in early April and closes the season in September. This iconic event will set the stage for a packed summer of activities on Poole Quay, bringing thousands of bikers and spectators to the waterfront every week. Between these start and finish dates, visitors can enjoy a variety of community-led events, from the nostalgic charm of Car Nights to the lively Folk Festival, Mini Steam on the Quay, and the newly established Summer Sounds.

While Poole BID is proud to be the headline sponsor, the success of these events relies on a wider network of local businesses and sponsors coming together to support the community. Organisers are keen to hear from potential sponsors, partners, and volunteers who want to play a role in keeping Poole’s event calendar alive and growing.

Jacqui Rock, CEO of Poole BID, said: “Poole Quay Events are an integral part of our town’s culture, bringing people together and boosting local businesses. We are proud to be the headline sponsor and to support the team as they take full ownership of these much-loved events. But this is truly a community effort, and we encourage other local businesses to get involved and ensure these traditions continue to flourish.”

Anna Doyle, Co-Founder of Poole Quay Events CIC, added: “Poole Quay has a rich history of events that bring people together, and it’s more important than ever to keep that going. Now that we’re fully running these events as a CIC, we need the backing of businesses and the community to make them bigger and better. We welcome anyone who wants to be part of this journey with us.”

Michelle Smith, Co-Founder of Poole Quay Events CIC, said: “These events belong to the people of Poole, and we’re proud to lead them forward with the support of Poole BID and our fantastic local businesses. We’re calling on others to join us in ensuring Poole Quay remains a vibrant destination by sponsoring or supporting these events in any way they can.”
With Bike Nights opening and closing the season and a jam-packed schedule in between, the 2025 event season is set to be an unforgettable one. Businesses or individuals interested in sponsorship opportunities or getting involved can reach out to Poole Quay Events CIC to help continue this proud tradition.
