Shake, Rattle & Roll into Love in Poole

This Valentine’s Day

Poole town centre will be full of romance and rhythm this Valentine’s Day as Poole BID hosts a vibrant celebration designed to bring people together and support local businesses.

On Saturday 14 February, shoppers and visitors are invited to enjoy an afternoon of live music, special treats and Valentine’s cheer on the high street. From midday, members of the Poole BID team will be out and about handing out vouchers, which can be exchanged for a free red rose at participating local shops and cafés — with 100 roses available throughout the afternoon.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, popular rockabilly band The Blue Moon Boys will perform live from 12 noon to 2pm outside The Brewhouse Pub. The venue will be serving food and drinks from its lunchtime menu, while the band also raises funds for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care through donations collected during the performance.

The rose giveaway will run from 12pm until 3pm, with flowers available from a variety of independent businesses including Premier Bites, Frontline, Mortons Jewellers, Grand Bazaar, The Mens Room Barbers and others across the town centre.

Poole BID says the event is about spreading joy and encouraging people to spend time in the town, whether they’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with a partner, friends or simply enjoying a day out. With free roses, live music and plenty of local businesses involved, the event offers a warm and welcoming way to mark the occasion while supporting Poole’s independent traders.

The Valentine’s celebration promises a lively and inclusive afternoon, inviting everyone to soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the entertainment and share a little love in the heart of Poole.
