Celebrate Christmas in Poole with Poole BID’s Festive Lineup of Events and Activities!

Poole Christmas Maritime Light Trail will be live from this Saturday 23rd November for everyone to enjoy.
However, due to adverse weather conditions forecast for Saturday 23rd, we will be delaying the launch of the Santa Parade, Gugge 2000 band, Christmas Choirs and Fire Performance to a later date and will advise further on this.
This Christmas, Poole Town is set to come alive with festive cheer. Poole BID, is the main sponsor of Poole Christmas Maritime Light Trail, a free light trail across Poole Town, led by BCP Council.
In addition to the light trail, Poole BID has funded a wonderful array of Christmas events to keep the festivities going throughout the season.
Key Events and Activities to Look Forward To:
- Poole Christmas Maritime Light Trail: A FREE dazzling display that will illuminate Poole High Street and The Quay, transforming the town into a sparkling wonderland.
- Christmas Launch Event (Saturday, 23rd November): The Christmas festivities kick off with a Santa parade starting at 4pm from Lighthouse Poole, moving through Falkland Square, High Street, Old Town, and The Quay. Led by Santa and the lively Gugge 2000 marching band, the parade will culminate with an exciting fire performance on The Quay.
- Choirs at Christmas: Enjoy the sounds of the season with live choir performances taking place at various locations throughout December. The choirs will also perform at the launch event on 23rd November, filling Poole Town with holiday harmonies.
- Julia’s House Santa’s Postbox: Children are invited to drop their letters to Santa at Julia’s House Charity Shop on Poole High Street between 23rd November to 3rd December. Each letter submitted is a chance to win a £25 gift voucher, redeemable at local businesses in Poole.
- Window Display Competition: Visitors can vote for their favourite festive window display in Poole via the Poole BID website. Voting participants will have a chance to win a £100 prize, making it a delightful way to engage with the local community.
- Brass Band Festive Performances: Every Sunday in December, a brass band will perform around Poole, adding to the festive ambiance and spreading holiday cheer among shoppers and visitors.
- Christmas Shopping at The Dolphin: Shoppers can complete their festive shopping at The Dolphin, which offers a fantastic range of stores and seasonal deals.
- Sleeping Beauty Pantomime: Enjoy family fun at the classic Sleeping Beauty pantomime, taking place at Lighthouse Poole from 12th December to 5th January 2025. This holiday performance is sure to enchant audiences of all ages.
